Finding sanity through art

My Goals Here

My main mission here is to help end the stigma surrounding mental health and bipolar disorder. There are so many things that aren't well known about bipolar, and based on what I leaned in high school psych 101, I had a very negative view of the disorder until I was diagnosed. It's still difficult to wrap my head around at times two years later, but the more I learn, the more comfortable I feel with myself. My hope is that by sharing a real world perspective of the disorder, that judgment and stigma that I felt might be lessened. I don't know if I can personally make a difference, but at least I can try :)

My secondary mission is to share my art. I'm no Pablo or anything, but it's fun to make, and it usually looks pretty awesome, so why not share it?! I love lighting up people's homes with my art and bringing a bit more color to them! I know it makes me happier to look around and see the new paintings on my walls every week, so maybe it will for you as well!

About Us

Artisan

Hi all!

Thank you for checking out my art! A little bit about me: I'm 28, married to the love of my life, a mom to three (7 years, 2 years, and 8 months) and stepmom to one (7 years), and an artist of many sorts. Oh, and I have Bipolar Disorder and I'm not ashamed to say it. In fact, that's part of why I've put together this site and my Instagram: to help fight the stigma of mental health and bipolar, and to share my fight with it through art. I attribute much of my mental stability to my art and creative hobbies. I can use my disorder to my advantage to tap into my creative side better at times. It keeps me grounded, boosts my confidence, and is a wonderful emotional outlet.

I'm so excited to share my art and my journey with you!
